the welsh family - farmer's market shoot

As I’m busy over here creating my new blog, I thought I’d post a couple of my favorite shoots from over the past few months. This one takes the cake…

I love that this family chose to do the shoot at a farmer’s market. I can’t entirely put my finger on it, but there is some reason why I don’t feel drawn to doing shoots in fields or grassy areas. They’re beautiful, yes, but there’s something I love about shoots in really unique locations. I love people’s homes, I love a good aquarium, a farmer’s market, a coffee shop, a cool urban spot - I don’t know! There’s just some more interesting to me about it.

I think I also have a very “editorial” feel to my images - light and bright, and they often feel like the images are part of a bigger story. I think these more unique locations better lend themselves to my aesthetic, if that makes sense. Plus I’m quirky and want quirky photos and having some environment around helps with that. Anyhoo, here are some photos of this cute shoot…
